Drawing from my experience as a Math Support – Elementary teacher in an IB school and as a dedicated tutor for young learners in early and primary years, I bring a well – rounded perspective to teaching mathematics. Working at an international school context has afforded me the opportunity to engage with learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, enriching my professional experience and personal growth. I’m committed to cultivating a supportive and stimulating environment in which each student feels secure to take intellectual risks, inquire freely and engage deeply with new concepts.

My teaching is grounded in the CPA (Concrete -Pictorial-Abstract) approach with a strong focus on deep conceptual understanding. I use manipulatives and representations to help children visualise concepts, making abstract ideas more concrete. What sets me apart as an educator is my ability to build strong connections with young learners, creating a welcoming and supportive space where they feel valued and comfortable. I find the greatest joy in witnessing my students gain confidence
not only in their mathematics but also in their overall sense of self as capable learners.

My mission is to meet each child exactly where they are and provide
guidance, encouragement and tools they need to progress on their learning path. Whether in a personalized one-to-one session or a small, focussed group class, I adapt each lesson to a child’s pace and learning style. I provide parents with feedback after every session, to keep them well informed about their child’ progress and next steps.

In addition to tutoring, I have conducted professional development sessions for educators and led online seminars for students at the University of Nottingham, experiences that continually shape and enhance my approach to teaching.
